The Management Software tool is a comprehensive OEM platform for the operation of wireless embedded networks based on ZigBee®.

The key components of the platform are:

• Server software, which provides the system repository and overall management of all gateways,
• Gateway software, which is a gateway firmware solution providing ZigBee network management and application gateway functionality
• Ethernet-based Management Gateway, which provides Ethernet-to-ZigBee gateway connectivity.

A high-level description of the features are listed below:

• Display status of gateway connection (connected or not)
• Allow the gateway to start or stop a network or to join an existing network, and including control of start-up attributes
• Display the current network status (join status, channel, PAN etc)
• Allow devices to join the network (Permit-Join control), and to manage security keys (Trust Center)
• Display the list of devices in the ZigBee network
• Display device health (red, green) based on coverage, inter-device-LQI, battery levels
• Display device identity/type using icons and labels
• Remote diagnostics (Expert Tool)
