Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN) have the ability to deliver the Connected Internet Of Things and the Smart City of the future. 6LoWPan adds a protocol layer to the IEE802.15.4 radio layer of a WSN device allowing that device to be directly addressed as a connected internet device.

IPv6 and 6LoWPan will help to facilitate the mass adoption of WSN solutions including the Smart Grid. Sensing & Control are working with IPv6 and 6LoWPan as part of our wide scale Energy Control and Efficiency project Me3gas. (More to come)
