Sensing & Control together with i2CAT, the Catalan Research Centre, were honoured to receive distinguished guests such as Artur Mas, the Catalan President to their stand during Mobile World Congress 2011.
Sensing & Control´s, nRescat, the world leading Tetra solution for Fire Fighter safety and control was presented during the event held in Barcelona from the 14th to the 17th of February 2011. A list of distinguished visitors to the stand included the following:
- Artur Mas, President of the autonomus region of Catalunya
- Jordi Hereu, Mayor of the City of Barcelona
- Miquel Sebastian, Spanish minister for Industry, Tourism and Commerce
- Xavier Trias, Candidate for the elections to the mayor of Barcelona 2011 from the party CiU
- Felip Puig, Catalan Director of the Interior
- Manel Prat, Director of the Catalan Police force, Mossos d’Esquadra
Richard Croyle, Director of R&D at Sensing & Control introduced visitors to the innovative Catalan company, commenting on the companies Energy & Security product range and the wide International experience of the team. This was followed by a thorough product demonstration by Angel Amores, Technical Operations responsible.
Financed through a grant from the Catalan government, nRescat, has already proven its self to be a system that increases the safety and security of Fire Fighters, operating over the standard Tetra communications system. Having passed initial testing by the Chief medical officer of the Catalan Fire Fighters and resounding approval from Catalan firecrews, nRescat is now pending entry to the final testing phase of the Catalan government first responder equipment approval scheme.
